I like it a lot. People are having trouble making comparisons for this band. Does anyone remember Incubus Succubus? This group utilized female vocals and rocking metal guitar to create a nice blend of pop rock and gothic metal. Don’t let the pop aspect freak you out. They are simple and catchy, but they aren’t anywhere near complete radio friendliness. The vocals are dark tinged, and the lyrics are just what you are looking for in this type of band. The guitar often has a gallop to it. The keys add a little elegance and atmosphere. I also like the good little string solos. Those are rare in these times. This is a band that works on a lot of different levels, and is going to be a favorite for a lot of different people for a lot of different reasons. I think it’s sexy. A big label would do themselves some good to look into this band in order to hit a trend before it really makes the big splash on the mainstream.
