Geno’s in Portland was the scene for By Blood Alone’s live debut. The crowd was good-sized for a first show and enthusiastic as the band tore through their set and basked in the limelight. Other bands on the bill were Bostonians Pop-A-Wheelie and Focusin, who also treated listeners with their own brand of rock and roll (grinding Dinosaur Jr-esque alternative and Son Volt-inspired roots rock, respectively,) but the night belonged to By Blood Alone. The success of the show is a harbinger of good things to come.
